Our task was to tie the indoors to the outdoor spaces using a layering of tone-on-tone colors and subtle patterns. Our mission was to create a space where our clients could deeply relax, with many private nooks for curling up with a good book or taking a weekend nap when visiting the Berkshires for respite.
All areas of the home were either painted or wallpapered. New millwork throughout the spaces added storage and anchored the rooms. Custom furnishings were locally made and installed, along with upholstered benches, chairs, and vintage rugs, giving the space a well-worn, layered effect.
